A woman has died in hospital five days after a one-vehicle crash in the Highlands.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash, which involved a white Audi A3, on the B876 near the Quoybrae junction around 4.15am on August 5.
The 22-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she died on August 10.
She has not yet been named by Police Scotland.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A 22-year-old woman has died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary during the morning of Thursday, August 10 as a result of injuries sustained in a crash in Caithness.
“She was seriously injured in a collision involving a single vehicle on the B876 close to the Quoybrae junction near Wick on Saturday, August 5.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
