Woman airlifted to hospital after two cars ‘leave road’ in Highland crash on A832 near Achanalt Steve Taylor

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after two cars “left the road” in the Highlands.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene on the A832 near Achanalt, east of Achnasheen, at around 9.30am on Tuesday.

Ambulance teams were joined by colleagues from Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in response to the incident.

The woman’s condition is unknown but officers remain at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of two vehicles which had come off the A832 near Achanalt around 9.30am on Tuesday, December 20.

“One woman has been taken to Raigmore Hospital by air ambulance and officers remain at the scene.”
