A walker has shared the magical moment a majestic stag approached them in the Scottish Highlands.
Roaming Thistle, an account that documents journeys around Scotland by motorhome, caught the animal coming up to them and licking the lens of their camera.
“Proof that the most majestic residents of the Highlands are also the most curious,” they said.
“Just a moment of pure connection in the middle of nowhere.”
They added: “Moments like these are exactly why I find myself wandering the Highlands.
“There is a gentleness here that stays with you long after you leave.”
