Vehicle of man who went missing after Christmas Day found

The vehicle of a man who went missing in the Highlands on Christmas Day has been found.

Roderick Augusto, 43, was reported missing from the Carlisle area after travelling to Caithness on December 25.

Police said his vehicle has now been found in the Dunnet Head area, but Mr Augusto remains missing.

He is described as white, with a slim, athletic build and is bald.

Anyone who recognises Mr Augusto or has information on his whereabouts has been urged to come forward.

Sergeant Jonny Wilkin, Thurso Police Office, said: “We are extremely concerned for Roderick’s wellbeing, especially as he has not been seen or heard from for over a week.”

“We are appealing for anyone who recognises Roderick or has information regarding his whereabouts to please come forward.

“We would also urge Roderick to please get in touch with someone to confirm that he is ok.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1593 of Thursday, January 5, 2023.”
