Two walkers were rescued from the summit of Ben Nevis after suffering from exhaustion.
The alarm was raised on Friday afternoon and Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team were deployed to the scene.
The team said it worked its way through deep snow to reach the casualties, who were carried halfway down the mountain and were back by 11.30pm.
They said the casualties were heated up with some hot food.
A statement read: “Yesterday afternoon the team were called out to assist 2 walkers, suffering from exhaustion near the summit of Ben Nevis.
“The team deployed on foot, making their way through deep snow to reach the casualties.
“After a quick refuel and extra layers, the team assisted the individuals down to the safety and warmth of the Can-Am at the half-way lochan. Which carried them the rest of the way.
“The team were back at base by 23:30 and warmed up with some excellent hot food, before heading home.”
