Two men have appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a disturbance in Inverness.

Emergency services were called to Balloan Road around 9.45pm on Saturday following reports of a disturbance.

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Medical teams have described the teenager’s condition as stable.

Liam McAllister, 19, and Liam Miller, 24, both appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court charged with attempted murder.

They made no plea and were released on bail. The date for their next court appearance has not been set.
