SuppliedTwo experienced hillwalkers died in separate incidents on the same day in Glencoe.
Russell Mullen died after falling in the Sgurr na h-Ulaidh area on July 18.
The 47-year-old was transferred to Fort William by Glencoe Mountain Rescue but was sadly pronounced dead.
Mr Mullen was a well-respected breast surgeon at Raigmore Hospital, with dozens of former patients among those paying tribute.
In a statement shared following his death, his family described him as a proud father, loved husband, dear brother, beloved son, loving uncle and loyal friend.
They added: “Russell was a well-respected colleague to many and was always dedicated in his care and professionalism towards his patients.”
The family is asking for donations to be made to Glencoe Mountain Rescue in his memory.
Frank Kremer, a heating engineer from Munlochy, is reported to have died while walking in Buachaille Etive Mòr on the same day.
The 61-year-old has been described as a “climbing dad to many”.
Announcing his death, his family said he was a “dearly loved husband, much-loved dad and a dear brother and father-in-law.
Mr Kremer’s family have also asked for donations for Glencoe Mountain Rescue in lieu of flowers.
