Mountain teams rescued two climbers who were injured after a cornice collapse on a mountain in the Highlands.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team were called out onto Aladdin’s Couloir, Coire an t-Sneachda, on Saturday afternoon to assist when the climbers fell following the collapse of the cornice.
Both casualties were located at the foot of Aladdin’s Mirror.
Team members treated them at the scene before they were packaged and stretchered to Rescue 851, which had flown as far into the coire as conditions safely permitted.
Assynt Mountain Rescue Team, who were first on scene, provided initial assistance before CMRT took over casualty care and evacuation. Fellow mountaineers in the area also helped during the rescue.
Both climbers were transferred from the hill for further medical treatment. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team thanked those who assisted in the rescue and highlighted the importance of public donations in supporting their work.
