ScotRail services between the Highlands and the Central Belt are facing delays due to “slippery rails”.
The train operator took to social media to warn travellers that some services on the Highland Main Line are disrupted heading through Blair Atholl due to the rain on Friday morning.
This is affecting services between Glasgow/Edinburgh and Inverness.
The post read: “Due to slippery rails at Blair Atholl, services are subject to delay and possible alteration.”
This is causing delays of around 20 minutes, according to the website, with disruption expected to last until 10am on Friday.
In addition, trains between Aberdeen and Inverness are disrupted due to a fault with the signalling system between Insch and Huntly; however, ScotRail says services are returning to normal.
