Trains have been cancelled in the Highlands as engineers race to fix a fault with the tracks.
On Wednesday, Network Rail said engineers are hoping to fix a track defect at Clachnaharry, just north of Inverness station.
Customers are facing disruption on ScotRail services on the Far North Line between Inverness and Dingwall.
A post on X by ScotRail read: “We have received reports of a safety check being required which is affecting services between Inverness and Dingwall.
“Network Rail staff are on site. Once we have more information from our staff on the ground, we’ll provide you with an update.”
