Three people have bee taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the A9.

Emergency services were called to the busy road between Aviemore and Kingussie around 1.15pm on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said three people were taken to hospital following a collision involving two vehicles.

Enquiries into the crash are ongoing.

The road was closed for a number of hours before reopening later on Tuesday.
