A teenager has suffered facial injuries after being attacked on a street in Inverness.
The 19-year-old was attacked by two men on Bank Lane at around 1.40am on Saturday, April 25.
Two male suspects fled the scene after what officers described as a “serious assault.”
Detective Constable Ross Naismith said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible for this attack.
“It is believed a member of the public intervened in an attempt to stop the assault and we are keen to trace this person and any others who may have information which could assist.”
Police have urged anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
