A teenager has been arrested after an imitation firearm was used to steal a car and rob a petrol station in Inverness.
The two robberies took place on the evening of May 9 with the first on Dores Road around 9.40pm where a car was stolen.
The second happened just ten minutes later at a petrol station on Longman Road where a quantity of cash was stolen.
Both robberies involved an imitation firearm and nobody was injured, police said.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.
