A suspect has been charged in connection with the death of a man at a property in Inverness.
Emegency services were called to Strathspey Place in the city around 8.30am on Thursday morning.
A 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers have now charged a 52-year-old man in connection with the death.
He is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday.
Detective Inspector Caroline MacKay said: “Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the deceased at this time, and we’d like to thank the local community for their assistance and patience as enquiries have been carried out.
“This was a contained incident and there is no further risk to the public. Additional patrols remain ongoing in the area to provide reassurance and anyone with concerns should speak to officers.”
