Search continues for missing walker from Newcastle who planned to walk from Glenfinnan to InveriePolice Scotland

The search is continuing for a missing walker who had planned to undertake a trail route in the Scottish Highlands.

Paul Conway travelled from Newcastle to Glenfinnan by train on Tuesday, September 10 and made contact with his family around 6.40pm upon his arrival.

The 67-year-old had planned to walk the Glenfinnan to Inverie trail but failed to arrive as expected at the end of the route on Friday afternoon.

Paul is described as being around 5ft 10in in height, of stocky build with shaven silver hair. He is believed to be wearing a green Paracore waterproof jacket with a hood, camouflage green shorts and walking boots.

He was also carrying a dark bergen-style bag and was in possession of two walking poles.

Sergeant Katy Duncan said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Paul’s welfare, and efforts are ongoing to trace him.

“If you think you’ve seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, please get in touch with us.”
