ScotRail has confirmed that trains won’t running on several routes amid an amber weather warning for snow and ice.
The rail operator confirmed on Sunday that no services will run from Aberdeen to Dundee, Aberdeen to Inverness, Inverness to Wick, or Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh on Monday morning.
The lines will be continually checked to see if they can operate throughout the day, but none of the journeys will run until at least midday.
A statement from ScotRail: “Further amber weather warnings for snow will be in place until 10pm on Monday.
“Services between Aberdeen–Dundee, Aberdeen–Inverness, Inverness–Kyle of Lochalsh, and Inverness–Wick are unlikely to run tomorrow until at least midday.”
