Road closed down in both directions due to crash

Travellers have been warned after a crash closed down a road in both directions in Elgin.

Emergency services responded to reports of a collision on the B9040, between Lossiemouth and Hopeman at at Covesea, around 1.05pm on Sunday.

It is unknown if anyone is injured as a result of the crash.

The road has been closed down and drivers have been urged to use alternative routes at this time.

A police spokesperson said: “The B9040 between Lossiemouth and Hopeman is closed at Covesea following a road crash that officers were called to around 1.05pm on Sunday, September 1, 2024.”
