A mountain rescue team was called out four times in a single day over the weekend.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue team said the first incident involved volunteers helping locate a missing person at around 8.30am on Saturday.
Later that day, they were called to assist a mountain biker who had suffered a leg injury, before helping two hillwalkers who had become benighted without the appropriate equipment to safely make their own way down.
The team, which did not leave the hill until around 2am on Sunday, described it as a “long day”.
They said the weekend saw them pass 200 callouts for the year, representing a 20% increase on last year’s figures so far.
The Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team posted on social media: “Record-breaking call-out numbers are being experienced by mountain rescue teams across the UK. Could this mark a changing trend in how people approach their time in the hills?
“Whilst we are fully supportive of more people enjoying our mountains, we’d also like to remind folk these are serious places and it’s important to have the appropriate knowledge, skills and equipment for the adventure being planned.
“Thanks as always to our hard-working volunteers and Coastguard Rescue 851 and 899, whose support is invaluable.”
