The public have been urged to be vigilant after police were made aware of counterfeit bank notes in circulation.
The warning comes after numerous reports of fake £20 notes being used on Barra.
The money features King Charles 3rd portrait and are marked Bank of England.
They feel and look legitimate and do not indicate with counterfeit detection pens as they are of the new plastic material. The counterfeit notes have the same unique identifier – BB81 324259.
Those with information are urged to contact 101.
