The public are being urged to check any outbuildings in the search for a missing man from Orkney who is “unsteady on his feet”.
Arthur Alexander Robertson, known as Sandy, was last seen in the Stenness area around 6pm on Sunday.
The 72-year-old is described as being around 5ft 6in tall, of very slim build, with sandy blonde hair at the side and a sandy/ginger coloured beard.
When last seen was wearing a thin green rain coat, a white top, a white hooded jumper, a black waistcoat, black jogging style trousers, and black steel toe shoes.
Sergeant Campbell said: “It is unusual for Sandy not to be in touch with his family. He is unsteady on his feet and as time passes concerns are growing.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to trace him, and I would ask anyone who has seen him or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.
“I would also appeal to anyone who is in the area to check outbuildings in case he has sought shelter and I would appeal to anyone who may have dash cam or private CCTV that could assist to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2047 of 3 November, 2026.
