The investigation into the death of a Chinese tourist on a Highland street following an altercation with youths is still ongoing more than two months after the incident.
Police received a report that a 63-year-old had died in the Main Street area of Strathpeffer at around 7.35pm on April 20.
Detectives initially treated the incident as a medical matter; however, officers believe the man may have been involved in an altercation with a group of youths.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
An investigation into the death is ongoing
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries remain ongoing following the death of a 63-year-old man in the Main Street area of Strathpeffer.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3069 of Monday, April 20, 2026.”
