Police Scotland have confirmed they are continuing enquiries after a body was recovered at Tyock Burn near Elgin.
Emergency services closed the A96 after a man’s body was discovered with Tyock Burn, near to East Road, at around 3pm on Monday.
The road was closed in both directions between Tyock Industrial Estate and Ashgrove Road.
Police have said that there are “not believed to be any suspicious circumstances” surrounding the death of the 36-year-old man.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Monday, October 23, police received a report of a man’s body at Tyock Burn near to East Road, Elgin.
“Enquiries are continuing, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 36-year-old man.
“A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
