Police are appealing for the owner of a kayak or canoe found deflated in a river in the Highlands to come forward.
Officers say an orange and black inflatable kayak or canoe was found washed against a tree and deflated in the River Oich, near Kytra Lock, on Sunday morning.
A statement read: “We have had no reports of anybody missing in the area, and are urgently asking the owner of this inflatable to get in touch with us so we know that you are safe and well.
“Please call 101 quoting incident reference 1348 of Sunday, April 19, 2026.”
The statement continued: “We also urge all owners of paddleboards, inflatable dinghies, kayaks and other small personal watercraft to mark your equipment with your name and a contact telephone number.
“You can even order free stickers from our partners at HM Coastguard. Visit https://orlo.uk/HMCG_tZNkT to order yours.”
