Police have appealed for information after a robin was found dead in a glue trap in the Highlands.
The bird was discovered on Henderson Row, Fort William, on November 22.
It is illegal to use glue traps for killing anything apart from invertebrates, and police are now urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
“The use of glue traps for pest control for any animal, other than insects, is an offence and we would urge anyone with these traps to safely and responsibly dispose of these and find more appropriate pest control methods,” a Police Scotland spokesperson said.
“Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1694 of November 22.”
