This stunning picture shows a stag with a full moon between its antlers in a Highland glen.
Alex Trowski, 40, was returning from a day out when he spotted the majestic stag standing by the side of the road.
The professional photographer was desperate to capture the stag and leapt into a ditch to get the picture.
Alex was returning home to Fort William after a day out in Glencoe, when he snapped the shot.
Alex said: “I was out for the day with a friend and we drove through Glencoe – it wasn’t supposed to be a photography day.
“We went through Glen Etive to watch the sunset and we were on our way home at around 4pm and it was literally by the side of the moon.
“We noticed the moon on the way back and we were almost driving towards it.
“And then it was like, ‘Oh my gosh – stag!’
“There just happened to be a passing place, so I got my camera out and jumped down the embankment.
“I got wet feet and wet knees because I was kneeling down.
“I was trying to get it so the moon was between the antlers.
“It looked like it was going to go away and I managed to drop to the floor and take two photos.
“It looked at me like, ‘What the hell are you doing?’
“It has got a really nonchalant look like he wants to be left alone.
“Then it just walked straight off and was behind the hills.”
