A man has been charged with culpable homicide in connection with another man’s death in Inverness.
Hamish Towler, 65, is accused of killing 55-year-old John Birrell.
It comes after police were called to a disturbance in Leachkin Hill Road on Monday around 6pm.
Emergency services attended but Mr Birrell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Towler submitted no plea at Inverness Sheriff Court on Wednesday and was released on bail.
