A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in the Outer Hebrides.
Emergency services were alerted after a pedestrian was struck by a car on Columba Place at Balivanich, Benbecula.
The incident happened at around 4.40pm on Wednesday.
Police confirmed one person was taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Columba Place at Balivanich on Benbecula is closed following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian that happened around 4.40pm on Wednesday, October 29.
“Emergency services attended and one person was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Road users are advised to avoid the area.”
