Man disappears after Easter fishing trip with group of friends

A man has gone missing after going fishing with friends in the Highlands on Easter Sunday. 

David Mooney, from Paisley, had travelled to Loch Cluanie with the group however left unexpectedly around 1.30pm on Sunday and has not been seen since. 

The 43-year-old is described as 5ft 7in tall, of medium build with short black hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a black Berghaus jacket, green fishing trousers, black trainers and a yellow woolly hat.

Police said it was possible he got a bus or another form of transport from the A87 to return to Paisley.

Officers said they are increasingly concerned for Mr Mooney as it is out of character for him to not be in contact with friends or family.  

Anyone who has information about his whereabouts or who thinks they may have seen him since 1.30pm on Sunday is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 2423 of April 17.
