A motorcyclist has died after a crash involving a car in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the A862 near Ardullie after reports of a collision between a BMW GS1250 motorcycle and a silver Volkswagen Passat at around 4.05pm on Monday.
The 59-year-old male rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other injuries reported.
The road was closed while enquiries were carried out and re-opened around 9.50pm.
Sergeant Neil MacDonald said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or any of the vehicles prior to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone with dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
