A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after a crash involving a car near Invermoriston.

Emergency services were called to the A87 at Bunloyne junction around 10.30am on August 10 following the incident involving a grey BMW car and an orange KTM motorbike.

The 53-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where his injuries have been described as “critical”.

The 29-year-old male driver of the car was arrested and charged in connection a road traffic offence and has been released pending further enquiries.

Sergeant David Miller, of the Dingwall Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who witnessed what happened or who saw either vehicle on the road prior to the crash to get in touch.

“We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 1130 of August 10.”
