A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car in the Highlands.

Emergency services were called to the A85 near Lochawe around 10.30am on Sunday following the collision between a black Skoda Octavia and a grey Aprilia Tuono motorbike.

The motorcyclist, a 65-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for over ten hours while investigations were carried out.

Sergeant Patrick McWilliams said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash, and we would urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

“We’re also keen to speak to anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the crash and may have dash-cam footage, as it could assist our investigation.”
