A man who died following a two-vehicle crash on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides has been named.
Emergency services were called to the collision along a stretch of the A867 near Lochmaddy just before 9pm on Wednesday, September 30.
The crash involved a black Mercedes A Class and a black Kia Ceed.
A 43-year-old man was transported to hospital in Glasgow, where he later died from his injuries.
Police have named him as Thomas Sharpe.
A 36-year-old man was taken to Benbecula Hospital.
Police say enquiries into the collision remain ongoing.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Thomas at this very difficult time.
“Our enquiries are still continuing, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-cam footage to come forward. You may have captured something that could assist our investigation.
