A 60-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he fell from an embankment into Loch Ness.
Emergency services were called at around 1pm on Friday, April 21, after receiving a report that the man had fallen from the embankment on the A82 near Alltsigh, north of Invermoriston into the water.
The RNLI were called but due to a strong easterly wind blowing on the Loch, the lifeboat was unable to get in close to the casualty.
A crew member was landed ashore nearby to provide medical treatment and the man was taken to safety by the local coastguard rescue team before being transported to Raigmore Hospital.
