A man is in a critical condition following a one-vehicle crash in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the A835 between Gorstan and Braemore on Saturday at around 7.15pm.
The serious collision involved a white Audi A3. The 22-year-old male driver was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, where hospital staff described his condition as critical.
The road was reopened at 2am the following morning.
Sergeant Douglas Scott said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“I would also urge anyone who was in the area and driving on the A835 who may have seen the white Audi prior to the crash, or who has any dash-cam footage which could assist, to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 2791 of June 13, 2026.”
