Police are treating the death of a man in hospital after being found unresponsive in Inverness as “unexplained”.

Officers were called to reports of an unresponsive man on Druid Road after 5am on Saturday.

A 64-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital where he died a short time later.

Police say the death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.05am on Saturday, December 14, 2024, we received a report of a 64-year-old man found unresponsive on Druid Road, Inverness.

“Emergency services attended and he was taken to Raigmore Hospital where he died a short time later.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
