A 60-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a death at a house in Caithness.
The incident happened in Barrogill Street, Wick, at around 9.30pm on Saturday.
A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital, but died on Tuesday.
The arrested man is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Detective inspector Craig Still said: “A police presence will remain in the area whilst enquiries continue and I would like to thank residents for their patience during this time.
“Anyone with information about the incident who has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 3874 of June 16 or alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 1111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
