Man charged with attempted murder after two injured in 'stabbing' at home

A 30-year-old man is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

A man has been charged with attempted murder after two people were injured during an alleged stabbing incident at a house in Inverness.

Officers were called to reports of an injured man and woman in a property on Craigton Avenue at around 7.30pm on Sunday.

They were taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries.

Police Scotland confirmed that a 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

He is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

A police spokesperson said: “This was a contained incident and officers are not looking for anyone else in connection. 

“The 30-year-old man is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.”
