Man charged and forced to give up dogs after 'sheep killed at farm'

Police were called to a farm in Kingussie on Monday following the deaths of a number of sheep.

A man has been charged and forced to give up his dogs after a number of sheep were killed at a farm in the Highlands.

Police were called to the farm in Kingussie at around 8.10am on Monday, following reports that a number of sheep had been killed.

Officers confirmed that a 55-year-old man has since been charged in connection with the incident, and was forced to give up ownership of his dogs.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.10am on Monday, September 12, 2022, police were called to a farm in the Kingussie area, following the deaths of a number of sheep.

“Enquiries were carried out and a 55-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.

“He has given up ownership of the dogs in question and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
