A man has been charged after police recovered drugs with an estimated street value of £65,600 from a car in the Highlands.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Friday, November 14, when officers on a routine patrol in the North Kessock area spotted a suspicious vehicle in a secluded car park.
They searched the car and found a quantity of cocaine and cannabis, as well as a large quantity of genuine and counterfeit cash within.
The 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the find and is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday.
Detective Inspector Calum Reid said: “These recoveries highlight our commitment to tackling dangerous and illegal drugs in our local communities.
“We are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the drugs trade and preventing their manufacture and distribution.
“Information from the public is crucial. We will continue to act on information we receive and ask anyone with information or concerns to call us on 101.”
