A man has been arrested after drugs worth more than £14,000 were recovered by police in the Highlands.

The drugs, believed to be cocaine and cannabis, were found after officers stopped a car in Inverness.

The vehicle had been travelling on Harrowden Road at around 11.50pm on Wednesday, March 9, when it was pulled over.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the discovery.

He is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Friday, March 11.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. 

Constable Ben Cruikshank, of the Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit, said: “This recovery shows our ongoing commitment to disrupt drug activity and supply in the Highlands.
