A man has been arrested over 24 hours after police were called to a house in Castletown following concern for a person.
The streets surrounding Coronation Place were closed as officers and police negotiators dealt with the incident, which began around 12.25pm on Monday.
The area remained cordoned off into Tuesday while specialist negotiators were on the scene
Images taken from the scene show the road closed, a cordon in place, and a fire appliance on the scene.
Police confirmed that a 49-year-old man left the property around 5.45pm on Tuesday.
He was checked over by paramedics and arrested in connection with the incident.
The force said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 12.25pm on Monday, November 4, 2024, we were called after concern was raised for a man within a house on Coronation Place, Castletown.
“Officers and negotiators attended and around 5.45pm on Tuesday, November 5, a 49-year-old man left the property.
“He was checked over by paramedics and arrested in connection. Enquiries are ongoing.”
