Police were called to three incidents in Fort William during the early hours of Monday morning.

A man has been arrested in connection with a series of incidents including starting a fire and breaking into a school in Fort William.

The 29-year-old was charged in relation to vandalism, wilful fireraising and a break-in, reported in the area on Monday, March 15.

The incidents happened in the early hours of the morning. Police were called to an act of vandalism on Kilmallie Road at 3.40am, and then to a fire in the grounds of Locharber High School at 6am, before reports of a break-in at the school at 7am.

The man is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday, March 16.
