A 50-year-old biker was taken by helicopter to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

A man has been airlifted to hospital after a crash between two motorcycles on the A82.

The 50-year-old suffered serious injuries in the collision near Loch Ba in the Rannoch Moor area around 11.45am on Saturday, October 1.

The two motorbikes were both Suzukis, one blue and the other silver, and both were travelling south at the time of the crash.

The man who was riding the silver bike was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.

No one else was injured.

Road policing officers are appealing for information.

Constable Mary Boyd, of the Road Policing Unit at Fort William Police Station, said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may be able to help to get in touch.

“We would be especially keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of the two vehicles involved.

“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 0982 of October 1.”
