A man has died after being found unresponsive on a bus in Portree on the Isle of Skye.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 9pm on Monday following reports of an unresponsive passenger aboard the coach.
A 37-year-old man was pronounced dead. His family have been made aware.
Police confirmed they are treating his death as “unexplained” and enquiries remain ongoing.
A spokesperson said: “Around 8.50pm on Monday, October 5, we received a report of an unresponsive man on a bus in Portree.
“Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man was pronounced dead. His family is aware.
“The death is being treated as unexplained but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.”
A spokesperson for Scottish Citylink said: “We can confirm that a passenger was found unresponsive on board one of our services on Monday evening and sadly passed away.
“We are deeply saddened by this news, and our thoughts are with the passenger’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time.
“We have been working closely with the emergency services and continue to support Police Scotland with their enquiries into this tragic incident.”
