A major road between has been closed after a two-vehicle crash on the A96.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that the A96 road was closed at Glackton between Inverness and Nairn.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Tuesday evening.
It is not yet known how many appliances were dispatched to the scene or whether any motorists were harmed in the incident.
Police attended the scene to direct traffic.
Drivers have been advised to take alternative routes.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
