A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following an incident in Inverness.

Kryzstof Andrusczak faces two counts of assault to danger of life and attempted murder. He also faces charges of wilful fire-raising and possessing offensive weapons.

Police were called to a flat in the city’s Polvanie View at around 3pm on March 31.

Andrusczak appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection with the incident on Thursday.

The 40-year-old made no plea and the case was committed for further examination.

He was remanded in custody and will appear again within the next eight days.
