Man in hospital after being found on street with serious injuries

Police are investigating after the man was rushed for emergency treatment overnight.

Police have launched an investigation after a man was discovered seriously injured on an Inverness street overnight.

The 35-year-old was found on View Place, near the city’s historic castle shortly before 4.30am on Tuesday, November 1.

The nature of his injuries are unknown but he was taken to Raigmore Hospital for further treatment.

A police cordon remains in place in the area while an initial probe takes place.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said enquiries into the cause of the injuries were ongoing.

“Around 4.25am on Tuesday, November 1, officers were called to a report of an injured man on View Place, Inverness,” they added.

“The 35-year-old was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
