‘Increasing concern’ for missing woman from Ireland who travelled to Scotland last seen in Stornoway Police Scotland

Concern is growing for a woman who travelled to Scotland last month and has not been in touch with her family since.

Susan Forde left the Republic of Ireland in March 2022 to travel overseas.

She travelled to Scotland in October this year, visiting the capital before she made her way to the Isle of Lewis.

The 56-year-old was last seen at around 5.12pm on Sunday, October 12 when she left the Caladh Inn Hotel in Stornoway and headed towards the town centre.

Police are now becoming increasingly concerned as there have been no sightings or contact from her since then.

Police said that her family were “understandably worried and want her home safe”.

When she was last seen, she was wearing an orange top, a dark-coloured jacket with white lining, blue trousers or jeans, walking boots, a cream/grey coloured tammy hat, spectacles and carrying a backpack.

Police have asked that if anyone has seen Susan or knows her whereabouts, to get in touch quoting incident number 1262 or November 2, 2022.
