Hunt for two youths after swastikas drawn and racial slurs written on bus seats

Police are hunting for two youths after swastikas were drawn and racial slurs written on the back of bus seats in the Highlands.

Officers are investigating after an incident of racial vandalism took place on board a Stagecoach service bus in Inverness on Tuesday.

Around 2.30pm, two young males boarded the No.1 service at Inverness Retail Park, travelling towards Dalneigh.

While sat at the back of the bus, they drew swastikas and wrote racial slurs on the back of seats.

PC Ben Staal at Inverness Burnett Road Police Station said: “I am aware that a member of the public reported the vandalism to the driver, however I have no contact details for them.

“I would strongly encourage anybody with any information to come forward to assist my enquiries.

“Please quote crime reference CR/0275204/25.

“We have zero tolerance towards hate crime which has absolutely no place in our community.”
