A hunt for two men has been launched after a teenager was assaulted on the Isle of Skye.

Officers were called to the scene on Bayfield Lane, Portree, at around 12.20am on Saturday, February 25.

A 19-year-old man had been attacked and injured, and was taken to Broadford Hospital for treatment. He has since been released.

The first suspect sought by police is described as male, between 18 and 25 years old, with slicked-back hair. He was wearing black trousers, a black t-shirt and black trainers.

The second suspect is described as male, around 5ft 10in tall, with a stocky build and dirty blond slicked-back hair. He was wearing dark clothing with a blue or black jumper.

Detective Sergeant Joe Newson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time and who witnessed anything to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone with any dashcam footage which may assist to get in touch.”
